Over the years, when I have told people I practice yoga, many tell me they've always wanted to try it but couldn't because of "X."
The "X" encompassed a lot, but I could "hear" between the lines. My friends, family and strangers on the street had never tried yoga because they did not know what to expect and were afraid.
Fear is okay. In the course of human history, it has saved us from lion attacks and frivolous spending. However, fear can also prevent us from trying things that are actually really good for us: like yoga.
That's what led me to create the five-week Absolute Beginners Series. In it, I will break down the most commonly taught poses, so when the instructor tells you to "lift into Adho Mukha Svanasana," you will not think you have been transported to an ashram in New Delhi.
In addition to the poses, I will go over some common yoga tools (blocks, bolsters, straps, etc.) and how you can use them to make poses more attainable.
Because this series will involve more individual instruction than a traditional class, space is limited to 10 participants. You can choose the Sunday afternoon series or Wednesday evening series. Click "Book Now" to reserve your spot!
